Thuraya covers Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia from the Thuraya-4 geostationary satellite. There is no Thuraya service in the Americas, the Asia-Pacific or the polar regions — if your travel crosses the Atlantic, an Iridium or Inmarsat handset is the right fit.
Some countries restrict possession or use of satellite equipment — check with the destination's embassy before you travel.
