Pre Pay SIM Renewal

The SIM card will remain active (from the first call) for an inital period of 30 days. In order to extend this validity period credit can be purchased to topup the minutes and the validity period of the SIM. How much the validity period is extended depends on how many units you purchase.

80 units extends the validity period by 5 months
160 units extends the validity period by 12 months

NB.You cannot send a text message from a prepaid Thuraya SIM to any GSM network.
You can receive text messages and calls from GSM networks.

Incoming calls while the handset is in GSM mode are charged at standard rate, although please be aware that it is not possible to make outgoing calls or send SMS.

After purchase of a Pre Pay Classic Sim your first call must be made within 6 months otherwise the sim will be de-activated.

Please note that satellite telephones require a direct line of sight from the antenna to the satellite.
Therefore, phones do not work inside buildings or vehicles unless used with an external antenna. Service in outdoor locations with trees, hills, mountains, buildings or other similar structures or geographical features may impair or prevent the use of satellite communication equipment.
