Using your computer and an Iridium satellite phone, you can connect to the Internet or a corporate network from virtually anywhere in the world, allowing you to browse the web, send and receive email and transfer files. You can configure your computer for two different types of data calls, depending on your needs: Dial-Up Data or Direct Internet Data. |

If you work, live or travel in areas outside cellular coverage or in areas with inadequate landline service, Iridium is for you. Eighty-six percent of the world's landmass and all of its oceans are in areas with inadequate landline service. Only Iridium Global Paging Service offers global paging and messaging services. Iridium Global Paging Service uses the Iridium constellation of 66 satellites to enable subscribers to receive numeric and alphanumeric paging virtually anywhere on the planet, from cities to remote areas. |

Iridium Crew Calling
With a single SIM Card and a single Iridium phone, vessels can now have both traditional subscription service and prepaid service. Captain and officers use their traditional subscription service as required for ship's business while crewmembers can place prepaid personal calls. |

SMS Service
It is now possible for users to send and receive text messages of up to 160 characters - anywhere in the world. SMS messages can be sent to and received from other Iridium subscribers, e-mail addresses, or cellular subscribers (when available). Both 9505 handsets and 9522 LBTs support SMS service with necessary software upgrade. |

Please note that satellite telephones require a direct line of sight from the antenna to the satellite.
Therefore, phones do not work inside buildings or vehicles unless used with an external antenna. Service in outdoor locations with trees, hills, mountains, buildings or other similar structures or geographical features may impair or prevent the use of satellite communication equipment.
