BGAN Prepaid in the United States: Due to registered patents by an American wireless Prepay company, BGAN Prepaid is currently not available in the USA until further notice. Accordingly, subscribers of the Prepaid Service are not permitted to (a) make Mobile Originating calls from the USA and its territories, incl. its air space and waters (the .US.); or (b) top-up their Prepaid account within the USA. Where a subscriber tops-up his Prepaid account, the VRS function will interrogate the subscriber as to his location and terminate the call if the subscriber is in the USA.

Please note that satellite telephones require a direct line of sight from the antenna to the satellite.
